  1. Hi Sarah

Apologies for the cold-call. I’m contacting you because I’ve just read your piece on bioluminescence (not jealous at all, honest).. and then read/looked at some further work of yours… and empathised with your cat-related computer incidents…

and I wanted to ask if you would like to do some travel/destination articles for Skyscanner?

You may know the name, people rarely do. If you haven’t, it’s a travel search site – flights, hotels and stuff. But we also do travel content.

Me, I look after content for Europe. I’m a journalist at heart and by trade. I have been at Skyscanner for four years, trying to bring writing worth reading to the pages of Skyscanner, inspiring people to travel through words, and pictures, and in recent times probably failing to stem the tide of content on a theme of the 86 craziest animated gifs of stuff ever. Sadly I hardly have time to write myself anymore. As for my travels, I mostly go for long walks in France – http://www.skyscanner.net/news/my-holiday-hell-trekking-corsica – and to Scottish islands.

Anyway, I’m looking for travel writers to do some destination guides/articles on specific destinations – from Bath to Boston… Would you be interested?

If you would like to do this, would you be available to start in the next couple of weeks? And could you tell me what your usual rate is?

I’d love to get you on board our writing team. If you’d be so kind as to let me know if you’re interested.

    Best wishes, James
